 Today I have did Cybersmart - 7 it was easy and Interesting because I could draw the fish.

Holy Week

This week is a very special week for us here at St. Pius X Catholic School. This Holy Week is not intended to simply be a "walk down memory lane" with our heads. Rather, it is an invitation to become engaged in Jesus' journey and to make connections with our own journey in our heart, mind, and soul. How are we to live and to face our challenges as Jesus faced his?  

Let us walk through his journey, and ask him to help us with our journey in life.

The activity's I did.

Station 5.

The Journey to Calvary. (SYMBOL) 

The reason why we use the crucifix symbol because Jesus has died on the cross.

The reason why we use the candle symbol because we use to light the prayer of Jesus also to lead the people to heaven and to shine Jesus so we know who he is.

The reason why we use crown of thorns is because it was on Jesus’s head when he was on the cross, when his mother Mary came mother Mary saw Jesus suffering and she was so sad and Jesus was so sad to see his mother for the last time.

Station 6.

The Journey to Calvary. (Simon helps Jesus)

Simon offered to help Jesus to carry the cross when he was tired.

Simon is a great friend of Jesus and what he did is what you should do to other people.

Pablo Picasso Art - Cubism Final Drawing

 Last month we began our cubism portraits based on Pablo Picasso's cubism art. In cubism you can play around with lot's of shapes. The facial features like your eyes, nose, mouth and ears can be in different shapes and places.

We did two practise drawings before completing our final product. 

Here Picasso #1.

Something I found Interesting was that I could mix the colour's together and put the my body parts somewhere weird.

Something I found easy was the that part when I had to mix the colours together.

Interesting Fact Pablo Picasso's full name is really long this is his full name Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso, I would like you to see you try and say it.

For this picture I want to focus on always drawing something that I could draw and let it go I am going to play around with the shapes.

 This is an activity that was both hard and easy, because the activity with           the was kind of difficult, the screenshot one was easy.

 This is a time line I made about dinosaur's it was kind of difficult trying to find the picture's for the dinosaur's and it was was easy writing the names                                             of the dinosaur's.

Proper Nouns Activity 1

 Today I have made a activity about nouns, but it is proper nouns, witch mean's I have to make proper noun's, some were duffucult and the two that was duffucult were Best Friend's and List my eight cities, those that was easy were Just the Best and City chain.

Pablo Picasso Art - Cubism Drawing #1

 Yesterday, the 9th of March Te Wairua Pakiki 4 did some art that is based on Pablo Picasso's cubism art.

Pablo Picasso is an artest that made shape's turn into remarklable art, he was really good at turning shapes into people he is a spanish artest, he was born on the 25 of October 1881 and he sadly died in the age of 91 in the year 1973, here is one of his art work.(My favourite art work of his)

This is my one I haven't coloured yet.

In cubism you can play around with lot's of shape's. The facial feature's like you're eye's, nose, mouth and ear's can be in different shapes and place's.

Our Teacher said,"Cubism is that look's as if the painting that dropped and cracked, and rearranged when put together".

When we look at the picture's we noticed that art can be in any kind of shape and dont need to sketch or be triggerd, you can fiddle with the shape's.

After our teacher demonstrated and we saw lot's of example it's was our turn to draw, all you got to do step by step this is step 1 grab a pencil and a piece of paper, then draw a head shape or you can draw what ever shape you want, step 2 facial feature's, and eye sahpe, any nose shape, any mouth shape, Step 3 add you're hair, what kind of line do you want your hair to be.

International Women's day 8th March 2021

On the 8th of March was International Women's Day. In our class we did an activity to challenge the stereotypes and bias of both male and female role's within our society. We first had to get into the same gender groups. We then wrote down the positive and challenges of the opposite gender. The boys wrote about the positive and challenges for females and the girls wrote about the positives and challenges of being male. After we came up with some ideas in our groups we then joined our groups with the opposite gender. Something we noticed was the two lists were very different. Women had more challenges. For example men can play and get professionally for sport, get to sleep in and are fathers We also said that a challenge for a male is the they provide for the family and have to always be brave. Something we learnt that males and females aren't considered equal in lots of aspects of life.

Common Noun

Today for writing we have been practicing our grammar skills. Today we focused on common nouns. A common noun is a word that names a person, a place, a thing or an animal. A noun can tell who or what.

Something I found easy was the colouring the five common nouns. Something I found difficult was public places Here is one of activities that I did today.

Propper Noun

 For today I have done Propper Noun, I had to write the nouns and the a                                                      word find.
